Top 3 Hiking Trails in/near Auburn

One of the best ways to witness the natural beauty of Auburn, AL, is through some incredible hiking trails in the area. 1. Chewacla State Park

Chewacla State Park features ten main trails, all of which range from easy one-milers to more advanced, highly elevated trails. Witness the beauty of multiple breathtaking waterfalls as well as a 26-acre lake.

2. Kreher Preserve and Nature Center 

In addition to over six miles of walking trails, Kreher Preserve and Nature Center offers guided hikes for all skill levels. This kid-friendly park includes various showcases from reptile walks to “S’mores with Mom” parties. 

3. Lake Wilmore Trail

Located on Ogletree Road, Lake Wilmore Trail is a little under two miles long and supports hiking, biking, running, and walking. Enjoy beautiful creeks and falls to cross at this secret spot that will make you feel like an Auburn native.
