Meet the Team

Todd brings with him nearly 30 years of extensive sales experience from nationally renowned hospitality brands and destination marketing organizations. In addition to his professional experience Todd is active in the community having served on numerous boards including the Auburn Chamber, Storybook Farm and United Way of Lee County.  Prior to joining The Hotel at Auburn University & Dixon Conference Center, he opened Hotel Sorella in Kansas City, Missouri. Todd was also the director of the sales and marketing for the Elms Hotel & Spa in Excelsior Springs, Missouri and the Hyatt Regency Tulsa, the largest hotel in Oklahoma. Todd spent seven years working with The Peabody Hotel in Little Rock, Arkansas. During his tenure in Little Rock he oversaw all sales, catering, reservations, public relations and marketing staff, driving more than $26 million in hotel revenue annually and eventually achieving the Forbes Four-Star designation, the first in the State of Arkansas.

Tara is a 2007 graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Marketing. She joined the Sales Team as the Executive Meetings Sales Manager in January of 2016.  Tara was promoted to Assistant Director in 2021.

Anna graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Business Administration. With her extensive background in Hospitality, Anna accepted the job as Catering Sales Manager in the spring of 2014 and has been promoted twice in that tenure. Anna is responsible for all social events including Weddings, Military Events, Religious, Fraternal & Non-University Events. In addition to in-house events, Anna is responsible for Catering to You, which includes both full-service & drop off catering.

Sheila was part of the hotel’s 1988 opening team and has worked in various areas of the hotel over the past 25+ years. She is currently the Group Sales Manager and is responsible for University departments such as the College of Engineering, COSAM, Human Sciences, Liberal Arts, Architecture & Design, Forestry, School of Pharmacy, Vet Med, Board of Trustees, Office of the Vice President, & Student Affairs. Sheila also books all association business at the hotel.

Scott is a graduate of Auburn University (‘13) with a degree in Business Administration. He comes to us from the Columbus Convention & Trade Center, where he was responsible for the management and operations of conferences, conventions, concerts, as well as corporate, social, military, religious, and all athletic events.

Scott joined the team in May 2018. He is responsible for the College of Human Sciences, Business, & COSAM, along with the School of Nursing & VCOM. He also manages all Association business and Athletic Recruiting.

Lauren is a 2022 graduate of the Hospitality Management program within the College of Human Science at Auburn University.  Lauren was a key member of the "Gala Class" in her senior year and now plans meetings for clients for her profession.  Her demeanor and poise are those of a veteran and she looks forward to each day helping her clients realize their vision for executing their events.

“Gavin is a graduate of the University of North Alabama (’22) with a degree in Professional Marketing. He joins us as a Meetings and Events Manager to continue his passion for assisting others, including you! He has helped put on many events such as concerts and collegiate events for student organizations. He now works to assist Corporate, Government, College of Business, Pharmacy, Human Sciences, COSAM and many others to make their vision come true for their events. Gavin brings a heart for the guest when serving them their every request.

Kaylie is in her junior year at Auburn University in the School of Hospitality Management in the College of Human Science.  Kaylie started in the hotel as a Guest Service Agent at the front desk and after a year was promoted into her her current role as the face and voice of the sales department.  We are excited for you to meet her as she supports our team in all facets of executing your event.
