Food & Beverage Minimums
The Hotel at Auburn University requires minimum food and beverage for all events. Additional room rental will apply if this minimum is not met.
Service Charge and Sales Tax
A 20% taxable service charge and applicable state sales tax of 9% will be added to all food and beverage charges. Audio visual equipment and function room set-up/rental fees are subject to a 13% service charge. Off-site catering is subject to a 10% cater out fee.
All Federal, State, and Local laws with regard to beverage purchases and consumption will be strictly adhered to. State Law prohibits any alcoholic beverages to be brought into any public area on the premises. The Hotel at Auburn University’s policy does not allow any beverages purchased to be taken out of any public function room on premises. In accordance with state and local law, it is the hotel’s policy to (a) request proper identification (photo I.D.) of any person of questionable age and refuse alcoholic beverage service if the person is either under the age of 21 or proper identification cannot be produced and (b) refuse service to any person who, in The Hotel at Auburn University’s sole judgment, appears to be intoxicated
State law prohibits any outside food to be brought into any public area on the premises, including function rooms. The Hotel at Auburn University’s policy does not allow any food items to be taken out of any public function room on the premises.
Once a contract is signed, we will be delighted to set a time for a menu tasting. Please consult your Conference Services or Catering Manager to schedule.
Your final guarantee of attendance is due 72 business hours prior to the event. At that point, it is possible to increase the guest count number but not reduce the number below your final guaranteed count. If guests exceed the guarantee, appropriate charges will be incurred.
