OKTOBERFEST 2017

Auburn's Annual Craft Beer Festival

Saturday, October 21, 2017

4-9pm

APR, AlaBev & The Hotel at Auburn University present Oktoberfest

The sights, sounds and tastes of Germany are making their way to The Hotel at Auburn University and Conference Center for its eighth annual Oktoberfest.

The event is taking place in the hotel’s marquee on October 21 from 4:00-9:00pm and will feature traditional German fare, beers from breweries across the U.S., a selection of German wines and live entertainment. The popular Homebrew Alley competition will also be returning with the chance for the winning brewer to have their homemade creation served on tap throughout the fall at A·T and Piccolo.  Tickets will be available for purchase beginning August 1st through October 19th

Oktoberfest attendees will get to choose from more than 100 beers from local craft breweries and national brand favorites. If beer isn’t your drink of choice, selection German wines will be up for sampling as well. To add to the authenticity of the event, German staples like bratwurst and pretzels will be available to purchase separately. Live music and TVs showing college football games will be set up throughout the festival.

We are in the process of planning the 2017 Oktoberfest. Please check back for more information!

Additional Information for Homebrewers

No décor will be provided, but you are more than welcome to decorate yourself. If you are pouring draft you will need to be able to provide all equipment for dispensing it besides the ice and cooler provided. There are no rules or regulations on styles as the only thing that matters for judging is how much the guests enjoy it. The event runs from 4:00 until 9:00 PM. We will announce the winners of homebrew alley at 8:00 PM on the main stage. The winner will be chosen based on the number of Oktoberfest tokens collected. We will collect these tokens at 7:30 PM so please make sure that all your tokens are collected by then. We do ask that you have one person remain at your booth at all times until 9:00 PM or until you have dispersed all of your beer. The winner selected will have the opportunity to work with an Alabama Brewery to have their beer produced and sold at A∙T Ariccia Trattoria. A∙T will put your beer on draft and sell to the public, but also invite the winner and 15 of their guests to enjoy the beer and complimentary hors d’oeuvres on a date agreed by both parties.
