2015 marks the sixth year of The Hotel at Auburn University’s Oktoberfest. For the first three years, the event was held in the intimate setting of our Terrace Room and around our pool, allowing for about 150 attendees. Two years ago we expanded the event to its current location in our north parking lot. This allowed us to grow attendance and offer a larger variety of breweries to guests.
Each local, regional and national brewery in attendance will showcase a small selection of beers, giving attendees an opportunity to sample a variety of great brews. Select breweries will also present one-off beers, which are brewed specifically to be served at Oktoberfest.
Returning this year is Homebrew Alley where local homebrewers are given the opportunity to showcase their craft to festival goers. Registration for Homebrew Alley is now available online.
We are still in the process of planning the 2015 Oktoberfest, so check back for more updates and information!

We are excited to feature "Homebrew Alley" again this year at Oktoberfest! Home brewers are given the opportunity to showcase their craft to the festival goers who will choose a 'Crowd Favorite' towards the end of the night.

FAQ for Home Brewers:
How many beers can I enter?
You may enter up to four types of beer however you must produce a minimum of 5 gallons per beer for the event.
What will be provided?
We will provide the tent, tables, large cooler, ice and a banner with your information printed. You will be responsible for all supplies if pouring draft beer beyond what is listed above.
How much is it to enter?
Once your registration has been submitted, you will receive an email which will have the information on how to pay the $50 entry fee. The entry fee will cover all of the items listed above and will also include admittance into the event for you and one guest. There are no fees for sampling additional beers.
How will it be judged?
AUktoberfest attendees will be given Homebrew Alley tokens upon entrance into the event which will be used to vote for their favorite home brew. Tokens will be collected and counted to determine the crowd favorite.

The hotel is offering a special AUktoberfest package which includes overnight accommodations on Saturday night, one ‘Eat, Drink, & Be German’ package, and breakfast the next morning in Ariccia. ‘Eat, Drink, & Be German’ packages include one general admission ticket to the event, two food tickets to use at the event, and an AUktoberfest t-shirt. Where can I purchase tickets to Oktoberfest?
Tickets will be available online starting August 7, 2015 at 8:00am.
Where will the event be held?
The event will be held at The Hotel at Auburn University located at 241 S. College Street across from the Auburn University Library.
I am not from the Auburn area, is there a place for me to stay?
The Hotel at Auburn University is offering a special Oktoberfest Package which includes tickets to the event, food tickets to use at the event, Oktoberfest T-Shirts, a Saturday night stay and breakfast for two on Sunday morning. Book Now!
Will food be available at the event?
Yes. The Hotel at Auburn University will have 2 food tents which will offer a selection of German Oktoberfest staples. Food tickets will be available at the event for $5.
Are pets allowed?
The Hotel at Auburn University is a pet-friendly hotel however we ask that guests do not bring their pets due to the large volume of people attending the event.
How much will tickets be at the event?
General admission tickets will be available for $50 at the event. Food tickets can also be purchased for $5. Pre-Sale tickets will be a vailable online for $40 on August 7 at 8:00am.
Where should I park for Oktoberfest?
Parking at the hotel will be limited to hotel guests. Additional parking is available downtown or across the street from the hotel in the Auburn University library parking deck.
How early can I pick up my tickets from Will Call?
Registration will open at 1:30pm on Saturday in front of the hotel. Guests may purchase event tickets for $50 or pick up their Will Call tickets. If you are picking up Will Call tickets you must have a photo ID stating you are 21 years of age or older.
Why is the event no longer around the pool?
Over the last 5 years, the event has grown from 10-12 breweries which featured around 20-24 craft beers to 30 breweries featuring over 100 craft beers. With the increase in breweries, Oktoberfest out grew the Terrace Room and Pool and was moved to the North parking lot to better accommodate the large crowds.
